“Indietro” is a piece composed for Piano Day 2022. It follows the ideas first developed in the trilogy — Anxiety/Serenity, Pianning and Tension/Release —, such as piano looping and tape delays. This time, the piece fades from a normal recorded piano to a reversed piano. Therefore, the music had needed to be composed backwards, in order for it to work when reversed. Some additional layers of treatments create an additional synthetic natural pulse and rhythm.
